Site to Site VPN - Part 1

I covered many topics related in ASA firewall by GNS3 and how to configure Site to site IPSec VPN by using Pre-shared key. I divided this Lab into Theory section and Lab section ( by CLI and ASDM) in this part I covered the CLI part then I will cover ASDM GUI part soon :)

    I am strugling to set up lab between two asa firewalls to test vpn but am unable to set up. Only one asa is running, can you pls guide me how to configure step by step. Pls mention if we need to use vms or how pls.

    1. Hi SAM,

      I think if watched this video carefully you will get the Idea and the concept. You have one ASA and other side is Normal router? The router needs to have an IOS that supports VPN’s. You can test this by typing ‘crypto ?’ and see if it has the commands available to make the tunnel. Usually a router with a K9 image on it is good enough. If not then it’ll require the security image to have IPSec capabilities.
